Woodcocks are easiest to find at dusk in the springtime, when the male performs a marvelous display flight, or 'sky dance.' Wearing boots is recommended, as the fields are often muddy.  Also, bring a flashlight to see your walking path clearly. Meet at the sign on Bark Haul and Pondside Roads in Longmeadow at 7:30 p.m.
